The Concrete Artz DIY Marble & Terrazzo Coaster Making Kit brings the joy of casting art into your home. Experiment with colour, create your own terrazzo chips or flowing marble patterns, then sand and seal each coaster for a smooth handmade finish.
Each kit contains 1kg of SNOW Crafting Powder—enough to make your terrazzo chips and up to seven full-sized coasters. Five colour pigments give you the freedom to create different combinations, from soft neutral tones to more vibrant statement pieces.
No experience is needed. The printed guide and video tutorial take you through every stage, including making terrazzo chips, measuring, mixing, pouring, demoulding, wet sanding and applying the included Silicon Polymer finishing coat.
Perfect for a relaxing weekend activity, family craft session, handmade gift or creative introduction to casting art.

Create smooth, beautifully detailed craft pieces with SNOW Casting Powder, a gypsum-based casting material developed for makers, artists, workshops and DIY projects.
Simply add water, mix and pour. Its easy-to-use formula produces a refined matte finish with excellent mould detail and is formulated to help minimise trapped air bubbles during casting.
SNOW Casting Powder is water-based, solvent-free and contains no VOCs, making it suitable for home crafting, creative studios and workshops.

Working & Setting Time
Working Time: Approximately 6–8 minutes
Demoulding Time: Approximately 30–45 minutes
Drying Time: Allow approximately 24 hours before sealing or prolonged use.
Larger or thicker pieces may require additional setting and drying time.
How to Use
Prepare your moulds, pigments and tools before mixing.
Measure the required amount of water.
Add SNOW Casting Powder.
Mix gently and thoroughly until smooth.
Add pigment or decorative materials if desired.
Pour the mixture into your silicone mould.
Gently tap or vibrate the mould to help release trapped air.
Allow the piece to set before carefully demoulding.
Leave the finished piece to dry fully before sealing.

SNOW Casting Powder can be customised to create a wide variety of finishes.

Start with a small amount of pigment and gradually increase until your desired colour is achieved.

Recommended Sealers
Sealing your finished piece can improve resistance to stains and moisture.
Type 2 – Silicone Polymer Sealer
Suitable for general craft pieces where a natural-looking, water-resistant finish is preferred.
Type 4 – Waterproof Sealer
Recommended for pieces that may experience more frequent exposure to moisture.
Epoxy Resin
Creates a glossy, glass-like finish with enhanced surface protection.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store unused SNOW Casting Powder in a cool, dry place.
Keep the packaging tightly sealed and protect the powder from humidity and moisture.
Shelf Life: Up to 12 months when stored correctly.
Tips for Better Results
To reduce bubbles
Mix gently and thoroughly. After pouring, lightly tap or vibrate the mould to encourage trapped air to rise.
If your casting feels weak or brittle
Check the water-to-powder ratio. Excess water may reduce the strength of the finished piece.
For easier demoulding
Use clean, flexible silicone moulds and allow sufficient setting time before removing the piece.
For moisture-prone pieces
Allow the piece to dry fully before applying a suitable protective or waterproof sealer.
Safety & Handling
Avoid inhaling fine powder during handling and mixing.
A dust mask is recommended when handling larger quantities.
Gloves may be worn to keep hands clean.
Keep unused powder dry and away from unsupervised children.
Do not pour leftover casting mixture into sinks or drains.
Allow unused mixture to harden before disposal according to local waste guidelines.

Choose the Right Grit
#240 – Coarse
For initial sanding and removing more material from rougher surfaces.
#320 – Medium Coarse
Recommended for revealing terrazzo chips and general sanding of Snow Casting Powder pieces.
#1000 – Fine
For refining and smoothing the surface after sanding with #240 or #320.
Tip: Start with a coarser grit and gradually work towards a finer grit for a smoother finish.
How to Use
Attach the sanding disc securely to the Velcro sanding pad.
Begin with #240 or #320, depending on the surface.
Sand using light, even pressure.
Move the tool continuously rather than holding it in one spot.
Finish with #1000 for a smoother surface.
Test on a small sample piece before sanding your final project.
